Okumbi: Watch out for Tsuma.
Harambee Stars Head Coach Stanley Okumbi, recently noted the skills and tenacity of Thika United’s youthful revelation Said Tsuma.
The midfielder was dominant in Thika United’s 2-0 win against League champions Tusker FC over the weekend.
Stanley Okumbi who was present on matchday at Thika Sub-County Stadium, expressed his notions to one of the local sports dailies, revealing that he has watched the 20 year old and he plans to give him a chance in the National Team if he continues to impress.
“In the past two weekends I have watched some good talents that I would like to work with them. I have watched Tsuma Said of Thika United and he is playing very well and he deserves a chance”
Tsuma a Kisumu Day alumnae was spotted during the 2015 Secondary school ball games held at Machakos, and immediately joined Thika United in 2016, after completing his O’levels.
Despite his first year at the club being marred with injury set backs clocking only 120 minutes in the entire 2016 season; his agility and work rate at any given match has remained superb.
Thika United tactician James Nandwa will have an array of midfielders to choose from as Tsuma joins the playing unit of 2017. Compiled by Ken.magu.
