Iregi still doubtful for Bandari trip,as Owiny starts training.

Thika United’s prolific winger Benson Iregi, is still on rehabilitation after suffering a knee knock during training a week ago.

B.Iregi on the ball vs Tusker.

The young ace who is a menace on the flanks, provided an assist for Mukangula’s opener, in the 2-0 victory against Tusker Fc in mid March.

Sadly Iregi has been unsuccessful in shaking off the knock and the team medics have preferred caution in rushing the healing process.

As Thika United prepares to travel to Mombasa County to take on Bandari Fc on Easter Sunday, Coach Nandwa will have to juggle between Salim Mzee who was absent entirely in their weekend’s 1-0 victory over Zoo Fc; or new blood and former FC Talanta winger Peter Okoth, who registered three minutes in the weekend match coming in as a late substitute.

Meanwhile former Sony Sugar custodian Allan Owiny has joined his fellow teammates in training. The Ugandan shot stopper who had already penned a long term deal with Thika United in January, got timed out in the transfer window on a technicality that could not be avoided.

Thika United is slated to take on Bandari Fc at Mbaraki Sports Complex from 2pm Sunday 16th April,2017. Compiled by Ken.magu.
