Thika United-Injury report ahead of Homeboyz test.

Thika United FC lost 2-1 in their midweek clash against Nakumatt FC, despite taking an early lead courtesy of a Onwudi Chibueze goal in the half hour mark.

B.Barasa and D.Odhiambo down injured vs Nakumatt fc.

The Brookside sponsored side could not contain pressure from the hosts in the second half and a series of injuries befell the visitors as Baraka Badi limped off the field of play, his replacement Suleiman Ngotho couldn’t subdue the pressure resulting in an equalizer for the host team.

A crazy last four minutes of added time saw Thika United suffer their 7th loss when Nakumatt scored the winner, after Captain Dennis Odhiambo was stretched off into the ambulance after a nasty collision with his Keeper Boniface Barasa who stood out with man of the match  saves, for Thika United.

Both Barasa and Odhiambo were rushed to hospital for ankle scans, luckily no fractures were detected but as per the doctors advice, the two will miss the weekend match versus Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday 14th at Thika Sub-County Stadium.

Others also on the injury list are Christopher Oruchum,Said Tsuma and Baraka Badi who also got injured on Wednesdays’ match;  a late fitness test report is expected by the end of training today.

Newly appointed Head coach Nicholas Muyoti will have an array of choices to replace the trio with the likes of Dennis Lewa, Samuel Mwanje, James Kinyanjui,Victor Ashinga,Sammy Meja and Wilson Anekeya to select from as he approaches his second match in-charge.

Thika United have suffered the inconsistency of having a fully fit first eleven with cases of injuries plaguing the squad after every two matches, and it’s a worrying trend to the youthful squad.

The match kicksoff at 3pm. Compiled by Ken_magu.
