Thika United to build on first draw.

Thika United FC over the weekend settled for a 1-1 draw against visiting Western Stima in round eight of SportPesa Premier League (SPL) matches, played at Thika Sub-County Stadium.

Skipper Dennis Odhiambo put the hosts in the driving seat at the stroke of half time with a 20 yard screamer, but the visitors restored parity almost immediately upon resumption through former Thika United striker Moses Arita.

The result saw Thika United record their first draw in eight matches, losing five and winning two, and currently positioned at 16th on the log.

The team is optimistic of building their success from the weekend draw as they prepare to face Ulinzi Stars on Sunday 7th of May.

“Our aim was to bag maximum points against Stima, but nevertheless we shall work on our finishing and build on the one point moving forward as we approach our next game.”  Nandwas’ sentiments concerning the match.

Meanwhile Thika United will have a tight set of fixtures  in the coming days, as they begin with hosting Ulinzi Stars on 7th May to be followed by an away midweek fixture on 10th May against Nakumatt in Machakos, then host Kakamega Homeboyz three days later on 14th May at Thika Sub-County Stadium. Compiled by @ken_magu
