Injury boost to Thika United as trio resume.

Thika United has been clogged with a series of injury blows after fourteen rounds of play in the SportPesa Premier League (SPL), and with the recovery of three key pillars in the playing unit from injury, the news comes as a blessing to Coach Muyoti’s technical bench.

Captain Dennis Odhiambo, Keeper Boniface Barasa and Right-back Baraka Badi have joined the rest of the team in training after a months’ absence from the training grounds due to injury rehab programs that have fast tracked their healing process, from injuries acquired in May.

Michael Mutinda who suffered a broken foot in pre-season is also doing well and got his groove back after getting some playing time in the 2-2 draw against Posta Rangers two weeks ago.

Thika Uniteds’ technical bench will have a wider variety of players to select from once all the four players regain their former fitness and the impact is expected to yield better positive results for the team as the tough second leg beckons.

The team which is placed at position 15 in the log, targets to better their standings when they travel to Bungoma County to take on Nzoia FC in their next SPL fixture slated for Saturday 1st July at Sudi Stadium. Compiled by Ken_magu
