Milk better than flower.
Thika united was again in the flower region this time facing the bottom team Oserian Fc at their backyard in Naivasha on Sunday 6 may 2012 at the 13th round of the Kenyan premier league season 2012.
United tactician John Kamau made few changes in his starting line up from the team that played against Muhoroni Youth in Thika the previous week, this time bringing on Muhando Geoffrey for Kuria in the midfield and Freeman Mulbah for Moses Arita.
The home team started the game on a high note searching for goals
Two minutes later the home team once again got the ball after Thika defender Glay Dirkir was clearing the ball only to land in Oserian full back Osama and to pass a penetration pass but only to find its way far away from the Thika goal mouth.
Ten minutes after the kick off Thika got to its form and started attacking Oserian goal mouth, from the keeper to defense, midfield and finally to the attacking all combined well and started making the home team uncomfortable with the ball thus making mistakes in their 18 yard area but Thika not utilizing the dead ball chances and by the half hour mark both teams had not seen each other goal mouth.
Freeman got a lovely pass from Dennis Omino near the dying minutes of the first half to beat Oserian defender only his chance to score being blocked by Oserian keeper for a corner kick and the time the first 45 minutes whistle was blown it was still 0-0 to both sides where Oserian had attacked Thika more times.
Thika came back stronger in the second half and in search of a goal but their efforts were denied by good goalkeeping. In the 50th min Thika United made two substitutions bringing Moses Arita for Freeman and Joseph Kuria for Muhando a change that brought in more punch in the team.
