Thika United’s clash with Gor Mahia on Sunday 12th marks a very important day of the 2012 season.
This will be a season opener for two clubs who enjoy sponsorships by Dairy companies and thus the competition is live.
A win for United will be the perfect gift for John Kamau especially if it comes on the first day of the season. The youthful tactician turns 35 the same day.
United lost both ways last season, but will be looking to amend that this term.
We are well aware of the threat that is Gor but we have prepared well and the spirit in camp is great, We are focused on getting a good result on Sunday; Kamau told the news desk.
Match entry tickets for the derby will sell at Kshs 300.00 each at selected G4S outlets in Thika and Nairobi on Friday and Saturday. There will be no tickets sale on the match day. Gates will open as early as 11.00Am to ease congestion at the entrance.
Security has been beefed up inside the stadium and within Thika town, so football lovers have nothing to worry about on the match day.
