Thika United confident despite injury blow ahead of Homeboyz duel.

Thika Uniteds’ C.Okumu vs Homeboyz in the first leg 0-0 encounter.

Thika United FC are bullish despite suffering an injury set back ahead of their weekend SportPesa Premier League (SPL) match against Kakamega Homeboyz, scheduled for Saturday 9th at Mumias Sports Complex.

Midfielder Michael Mutinda and U-20 prodigy Francis Muturi have been ruled out of the weekend fixture, after the Team Medics analysis showed a backache and a body infection as causes for the drop of the duo.

Onwudi Chibueze is yet to recover from his knee knock and this latest development further complicates Coach Nicholas Muyoti’s options upfront, but equally remains optimistic his squad will deliver in Mumias;

“We now have five the total number of first team players out on injury, two (Collins Okumu and Baraka Badi) on long term but the three (Mutinda, Muturi and Chibueze) will be available soon;

All the same we are fully equipped for such situations and i believe the team assembled will do the job and hopefully get maximum points.” the tactician informingĀ www.thikaunitedfc.com.

The two sides settled for barren draw in first leg;

Meanwhile the team departs for Western tomorrow morning, and the match is slated for Saturday 9th at Mumias Complex from 3pm. Compiled by Ken_Magu.
